Since 2004,Financial Scams have increased a lot and the amount too!The following,are some of the notorious scams,in recent years:-
1.The 2 G spectrum scam.Amount Rs 1.7 Lakh Crores
2.CoalGate.Varies from Rs 1.7 Lakh Crores to 3 Lakh Crores as per CAG.other sources mention,Rs 26 LAKH CRORES.
3.The KG basin scam
4.Devas-Antrix scam.The amount involved is quite large.But the National Security implications,are even more significant.
5.India purchased about 200MT Gold from the IMF.In the 1990s,India SWAPPED 47 MT of Gold with the BoE and 20 with the UBS,Switzerland.It is very strongly suspected,that India was on the LOSING side of ,the above Diomedean Swaps.
